February Symposium We had our first diving symposium in February, and would like to thank:
The main goal was to educate Government and State Agencies on the Federal Guidelines for diving and how commercial companies can help in the event of crisis. Florida is surrounded by unique bodies of water and the problem is that every recreational diver thinks that when emergencies happen that they can just throw on their tanks and regulator and help out. This is not the case, there are strict guidelines by OSHA for this type of work as well as the potential for hazardous material in the water. This is why there are professional companies that handle this work. We know that people naturally want to help but you need to stop and think. "Am I putting my life or someone else at risk?" |
